Springtime Blue & Green ...

The weather is just beautiful in Melbourne today - it is a wonderful spring day. I would like share with you a quilt I custom quilted recently which has a Springtime feel about it. It was made by my customer Liz from the most gorgeous soft greens and blues and set with white sashing. Liz used a large number of beautiful Liberty fabrics which are just divine.

Liz wanted fairly simple quilting. Each of the blocks has been quilted with semi-circles which gives the effect of a sashiko like flower. The sashing has been quilted with a feather as inspired by Carla from Feathered Fibers - thanks for the fabulous tutorials. I find Carla's quilting just incredible and an amazing inspiration.

The following is a close-up of the quilting and shows off some of the beautiful fabrics:-

I hope Liz is enjoying her quilt and that you have all enjoyed reading about it.

Happy quilting and have a lovely Spring day.

I had to look closely at the pictures to see the fabric pieces, the quiting adds so much to the top, which is just lovely. Very nice!
